NORTHERN has been around since the bad old days of NT 3.1...

Northern has pioneered the storage management solutions market since 1995, when it's founders saw an emerging demand for quota solutions. The first Northern Software solution was developed for one of Sweden's largets telecom companies and soon after other companies realized the power of Northern solutions. The foundations of Northern's award-winning quota technolgy were laid during those last years of the 90's, along with other software solutions such as PrintControl, MobiServer, RasTracker. But the area that Northern started to dominate was SRM-software.

But just technical brilliance and clever solutions is never enough for success in the competitive world of today, especailly not during those darker IT years as many IT companies discovered the hard way. From the very beginning, Northern’s business model has been steeped in the "Swedish tradition": sleek, functional engineering, products that offer power, simplicity and value, and unflagging customer service. With these values as a base, always wanting to exceed customer expectations, rather than just meet them.

Today Northern focuses solely on it's flagship solution Northern Storage Suite.
